Replace each cartridge after filtering 40 gallons (151 L), or approximately every two months for an average family.
How do I prepare a new filter?
Immerse the cartridge in cold water for a few seconds and gently shake it underwater to release air bubbles, then discard that water. Press the cartridge firmly into the reservoir opening, rotating if needed until fully seated. Fill the reservoir with cold tap water and discard the first two filtered fillings, which may contain filter media sediment. Refill again for use.
